Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities Works closely with the team lead, as well as with other UX and design staff on the team to create new and improve existing IU websites and online systems. Works on a variety of tasks for various project involving content editing, user experience research and evaluation, information architecture, and interface design. Works with IU staff across campuses. Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University. WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
Completion of or current enrollment in at least 1 course in human-computer interaction, user-centered design, information architecture, or human factors. SKILLS
Required
Passion for improving the quality and effectiveness of online sites and systems for end users. Ability to learn quickly and take responsibility of parts of a project. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients in both written and spoken formats. Attention to detail. Understanding of information architecture and principles of good site and system design. Experience using Figma, Axure, InVision XD, or other suitable applications to create rapid prototype designs for communicating interaction and design ideas. Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate with the development team, experience architect, and content stakeholders and to operate a computer and other standard of fi ce productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Work Location
This is a fully remote position. However, this is subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs. If the selected applicant is in the Bloomington area and would like to work in office, space is available at the Cyber Infrastructure Building.
Advertised Salary
$20 per hour
Work Hours
The UX internship is a part-time intern position for the Summer 2025, Fall 2025, and Spring 2026 semesters. The intern will work up to 20 hours per week. Schedule and number of hours will be flexible to accommodate the chosen applicant's academic schedule.
