Job Description
EideCom is seeking a skilled Video Engineer with deep technical expertise in high-resolution screen management systems, content mapping, and the ability to lead teams in high-pressure live event environments. This full-time role will oversee all aspects of video control operations, including system design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance for live events. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a passion for cutting-edge display technology and a keen eye for detail.
This position reports to the Technical Director, is based in Brooklyn Park, MN, and requires travel.
Please note that this is a full-time position, not a freelance opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the setup, configuration, and operation of high-resolution multi-screen presentation switchers, processors, and related display systems for live events
- Support the setup and configuration of LED wall systems
- Manage and maintain inventory, ensuring all equipment is properly stored, tested, and prepped for each event
- Design and implement processes for video systems, quality control, and maintenance
- Design and implement video screen system layouts, signal flows, and power distribution plans
- Work closely with project managers, technical directors, and clients to execute event vision with precision
- Diagnose and resolve video-related technical issues both in pre-production and during live events
- Oversee a team of video technicians, providing training and leadership to ensure efficiency and safety
- Research and implement new video display technologies and workflows to enhance production quality
- Coordinate with vendors for supplemental video equipment rentals, purchases, and service needs
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and best practices
Education & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in live event multi-screen systems and video engineering
- Proficiency with video control processing and switching systems such as Analog Way or Barco
- Expert understanding of video signal flow, resolution mapping, and scaling
- Experience in assembling and rigging large-scale LED walls is a plus
- Familiarity with media servers and playback systems (Disguise, Millumin, or similar)
- Ability to read and create technical drawings (Vectorworks)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Experience leading technical teams in live event settings
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (10-75 lbs) and work at heights
- Clear vision and ability to use range of motion required
$95,000 - $115,000 depending on experience. This is a full-time position as regular/permanent employee and includes many company-provided benefits:

Travel to client meetings and events around the US is typical and expected. This position will be located in the Minneapolis, MN offices and requires in-person attendance.
