Studio Manager to prominent fine art / editorial photographer

Description
The studio of a prominent fine art / editorial photographer in Downtown New York is seeking a full-time studio manager to begin mid to late June 2025.
The studio manager will work closely with the artist on personal, commercial, and editorial projects. They will serve as a liaison between the artist, external parties (including agencies, publications, galleries, museums, vendors), and the studio staff, which includes 2 part-time assistants and multiple interns. The manager will oversee all ongoing studio projects, ensuring that the artist's short and long-term goals are met. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational, communication, delegation, and multitasking skills, along with technical proficiency in photography-related materials and technology. The studio manager will oversee operations and also work directly on projects with assistants daily.
Qualifications
- Management experience in arts or production background
- Technical experience with photography hardware and software
- Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and work proactively
Requirements
- Ability to multitask under tight deadlines
- Self-starting work ethic and proactive approach
- Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Bridge, InDesign
- Knowledge of photographic materials, archival practices, digital workflow, and equipment
- Driver’s license required
Salary
Commensurate with experience.
