Description

We are looking for talented, creative, and disciplined engineers to join our top-tier team, which plays a key role in developing new silicon for Apple ecosystems. This involves working in a dynamic, highly collaborative environment with a focus on:

1. Understanding components/modules within wireless communication systems.
2. Designing PHY firmware architecture, including calibrations, real-time processing, collaboration with RF hardware, microcode, and MAC layer.
3. Developing efficient designs that optimize performance, power, and memory while meeting real-time latency requirements.
4. Debugging real-time systems using development boards and lab equipment.
5. Collaborating with Radio, MAC, and Systems engineering teams to develop algorithms, calibrations, and protocols.
6. Supporting pre-silicon validation, simulation, emulation, and FPGA prototyping.
7. Developing test and calibration capabilities for SoC, chip, module, and product validation.
8. Supporting post-silicon validation, performance testing, system integration, and debugging.
9. Automating calibration and verification processes using test harnesses.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with wireless systems and protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, or NR.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for addressing technical challenges during design and development.
• Strong embedded software fundamentals, including real-time constraints, concurrency, multi-processor systems, caching, and virtual memory.
• Deep understanding of data structures, object-oriented design, and system architecture in embedded environments.
• Proficiency in software development using C, C++, scripting in Python, and debugging skills.
• Experience with low-level hardware interfaces, register and interrupt programming, bare-metal development, and power management.
• Familiarity with version control (GIT, Perforce), release management, CI, and testing.
• Knowledge of RF and analog components is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Highly organized, motivated, with a strong initiative to learn and drive results.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, compensation includes a base salary within a range, with opportunities for growth. The salary range for this role is $166,600 to $296,300, depending on skills, experience, and location. Employees may also participate in stock programs, receive benefits such as medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, product discounts, educational reimbursement, and potential bonuses or relocation assistance.
