What does a Creative Editor do at Hogarth?
Hogarth Worldwide is seeking a seasoned creative editor to join our content studio team in Detroit, specifically the Makerhouse team. As a Creative Editor, you'll transform ideas into captivating visual narratives. Collaborating with talented teams, you'll refine and enhance creative concepts to resonate with audiences globally. Your expertise in video editing and graphic design will shape campaigns for renowned brands, pushing creative boundaries and delivering excellence.
Reporting lines and key stakeholders:
This role reports to the Managing Director. You will work closely with the Production, Client, and Edit teams.
Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced technical expertise to finalize and version key video assets for Makerhouse.
- Collaborate with creative executives and producers to implement requested creative changes while maintaining high standards.
- Receive assets from audio, colorists, and others to assemble the final product.
- Partner with post-production teams to quality check each edited package, ensuring visual perfection and timely delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, contributing to new editing techniques and workflows.
- Perform technical tasks such as conforming, overlaying type, legal lines, end cards, audio integration, and color correction within Premiere Pro.
- Possess a certificate or diploma in motion graphics design or a related artistic field.
- Be fluent in Spanish at a professional level (reading, writing, speaking).
- Have 4-7 years of project management or production experience in an agency or similar environment.
- Understand the production and creative development process, content production, technology, quality assurance, and marketing methodologies.
- Experience with multichannel campaigns.
- Maintain a professional, approachable demeanor and thrive in a dynamic, matrixed agency environment.
- Manage small projects or components of complex projects, delivering on time and within budget.
- Experience in project scoping, budgeting, tracking, and creating statements of work.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills that satisfy all stakeholders without compromising quality.
- Maintain accountability, confidence, and a calm presence.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be an effective collaborator.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- Be highly organized, detail-oriented, client-focused, and proactive.
