Summary

Experienced level Senior Web UI Software Developer with deep expertise in PHP on Linux, jQuery, and SQL, complemented by strong skills in C, C++, and C#. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining web-based user interfaces for our applications.

This role is an integral member of the team, as the role provides critical technical expertise. Toptech is a highly fluid and fast paced work environment, individuals are expected to be flexible and have a willingness to adapt to changing priorities. The position allows the individual to work in a comfortable casual team environment with internal and external resources. Individuals will have to think outside the box to come up with solutions to meet requirements our customers have of their automation system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned)

1. Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using PHP on Linux, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
2. Implement dynamic and interactive user interfaces using jQuery.
3. Design and optimize database interactions using SQL.
4. Work with C, C++ to integrate web applications with backend services and system components.
5. Ensure software quality through code reviews, unit testing, and best practices.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
8. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance our development processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. 5+ years of professional experience in web development.
2. Strong expertise in PHP on Linux.
3. Proficiency in jQuery and front-end development best practices.
4. Deep understanding of SQL and database management.
5. Experience with C, C++, and C# for backend services and system integrations.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.
7. Experience working with version control systems (Perforce, etc.).
8. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
9. Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel).
2. Knowledge of RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
3. Familiarity with DevOps tools, and containerization (Docker).
4. Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
5. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
