Job Title: Associate Director of Marketing and Sales
The Associate Director of Marketing and Sales collaborates with the Executive Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs, the Associate Director of Fan Experience, and the Marketing Graduate Assistant to enhance fan attendance, brand awareness, and revenue for Creighton Athletics. The role requires effective teamwork with student-athletes, coaches, and staff, alongside strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills. A commitment to diversity and promoting inclusive excellence is essential. This position oversees the Marketing Graduate Assistant and gameday intern group in coordination with the Associate Director of Fan Experience.
About Creighton University Athletic Department Located in Omaha, Nebraska, Creighton University competes in NCAA Division I as a member of the BIG EAST Conference. The department is seeking applications for the position of Associate Director of Marketing and Advertising, reporting to the Executive Associate Athletic Director for External Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement marketing and ticket plans for select sports to increase attendance and revenue, collaborating with communications, creative, ticketing, and other departments.
Oversee all advertising efforts, including copyrighting, scripts, social media, and print advertising.
Manage licensing and brand strategies, serving as the main contact with retailers and vendors.
Coordinate ticket strategies and campaigns to meet financial goals.
Utilize data analytics to optimize marketing strategies and fan engagement.
Innovate methods to attract new fans and retain existing ones through ticket sales and memberships.
Support growth of corporate partnerships and manage key relationships.
Explore emerging technologies for branding and promotion.
Assist in enhancing the in-venue fan experience and campus communication efforts.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
At least 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or leadership roles (Graduate Assistant experience accepted).
Experience in marketing plans, brand strategy, or ticket sales.
Budget management experience.
Experience in Division I athletics or professional sports.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and TM1 marketing software.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
