Basic Function
Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. Qualified applicants will be contacted as needed without advertising delays. Applications remain active for up to two years.
This pool is for adjunct instructors at Bakersfield Community College and other district sites, with duties including teaching various classes, developing curricula, and participating in professional activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's in fine arts, art, or art history; OR Bachelor's in the above plus a Master's in humanities; OR equivalent qualifications. Candidates must demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge & Abilities
Candidates should demonstrate broad knowledge in the discipline and abilities such as effective communication, curriculum development, assessment, and technological proficiency.
