Knack Works is focused on providing scalable, automated solutions that enable our customers to perform their national security missions in an ever-changing environment of new technologies and evolving threats. We are seeking a Technical Writer passionate about documentation and document control processes. A candidate looking to establish workflows, provide structure and organization, and have fun in a highly technical environment. The position is located on-site in Northern Virginia. Here's what you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in documentation analysis (SOPs, training).
- Active ISSA.
- Demonstrated experience with document management principles, including version control, workflows, and file organization.
- At least 10 years of experience working within the Intelligence Community.
- Ability to coordinate with a diverse group of technical experts.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Northern Virginia.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio.
- Highly adaptable and skilled at problem-solving in fast-paced, evolving environments with the ability to work effectively with many diverse stakeholders from engineers to senior executives.
Preferred:
- Experience providing technical documentation and presentations to customers.
- Experience developing and administering training in multiple formats (in-person, CBT, etc.), focusing on adult-based learning concepts.
- Proficiency in requirements tracking tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Git, PowerBI).
Posted Salary Range: Minimum $110,000.00
Posted Salary Range: Upper $150,000.00
Employee total compensation is designed with total well-being in mind. The base salary range for this position is $110,000.00 to $150,000.00. When evaluating compensation, it's important to note Knack's unique total compensation model which includes an additional PSP and IBA contribution. The actual salary is dependent upon work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education.
