Position Summary:
The Senior Web Developer is responsible for executing web development efforts for the Office of Marketing and Communications, overseeing the College’s external-facing web presence. This role involves developing solutions that connect creative and technical aspects, collaborating with colleagues and campus partners to meet the College’s web development goals.
The ideal candidate is resourceful, a quick learner, exercises good judgment, and is aware of web development priorities that support the College’s communication and marketing efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the site-building and development efforts for the College’s main Drupal website.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement design solutions that enhance user experience.
- Maintain the codebase to meet the College’s needs.
- Support the Director of Web Communications and Development in guiding web projects.
Specific Duties:
- Support web projects by scoping and writing specifications documents.
- Develop strategies for professional growth to stay current with technology trends and best practices.
- Work with the Director to plan and execute initiatives that support the College’s web publishing community.
- Develop, enhance, program, test, troubleshoot, debug, and maintain the college website across multiple browsers, ensuring security and standards compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of experience in website development
- Strong project management skills, familiarity with agile methodologies, and experience with project management tools
- Knowledge of and commitment to web standards, College identity, and accessibility standards
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks
- Service-oriented with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical audiences
Pay Scale: $75,300 - $97,889 USD annually.
