Job Description
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency's (DTRA) mission is to safeguard the United States and its allies from global Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) threats by integrating, synchronizing, and providing expertise, technologies, and capabilities across all operating environments. The Nuclear Enterprise Directorate (NE) develops, improves, and promotes nuclear safety, security, accountability, control, reliability, emergency/disaster response and recovery, training, transportation, storage, infrastructure, related technologies, and research activities for U.S. and allied/partner forces, as well as U.S. Federal and allied/partner governmental organizations. This position supports DTRA/NE.
The role involves working on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of programs, performing duties independently, and possibly supervising other mission-oriented personnel. Responsibilities include:
- Developing marketing, training, event, and official photography and videography.
- Performing professional-quality graphic editing using Adobe Creative Suite and WACOM Cintiq Display.
- Creating flyers, catalogs, posters, course logos, display sign slides, and banners.
- Conducting mock journalist interviews at training locations.
- Maintaining DNWS media and graphics equipment, including cameras, media studio plotters, and photo printers.
- Managing DNWS official social media websites.
- Identifying and planning upgrades to media equipment and coordinating procurement with the Government IT representative for CIO approval.
Security clearance of DOD SECRET (or TOP SECRET) is required.
Qualifications include:
- 10 years of demonstrated experience in the relevant requirements and a MA/MS degree; or
- 15 years of demonstrated experience and a BA/BS degree.
Experience with graphics, photography, videography, and social media platforms using Adobe Creative Suite and WACOM Cintiq Display is essential. Experience with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office is desired.
Applicants should possess highly developed interpersonal skills for effective interaction with both technical and non-technical professionals and must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
The position is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
