Qualifications
Extensive experience of design fundamentals, such as color theory, typography and composition Extensive experience of interaction design, visual design, and industry standards Extensive experience of user centered design processes and best practices Extensive knowledge with modern development standards, techniques and methodologies (e.g., HTML, XHTML, AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, etc.) Expert knowledge of best practices for web and mobile-based content, tools, and forms Extensive experience interpreting requirements into executable design solutions Demonstrated ability to lead, guide and mentor others Demonstrated ability to articulate design concepts to a broad audience, including non-designers Ability to lead teams and mentor junior staff Desired Experience enhancing search functionality and user discoverability on intranet or enterprise content platforms, including relevance tuning, metadata strategy, and search interface design and navigation. Desired - Knowledge of web, mobile and application design Desired - Human Factors Institute Certified Analyst Expert cross-group collaboration and persuasion skills Expert skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams; managing timelines/deadlines/resources; ensuring successful project implementation Expert design communication skills Advanced detail and organizational skills Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, User-Centered Design/Human-Computer Interaction, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Desired - Master's degree in Graphic Design, User-Centered Design/Human-Computer Interaction, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
