Position HighlightsThe Daniel F. Cracchiolo Law Library at the James E. Rogers College of Law is currently seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Library Services Associate, Circulation Lead to join our team.
Reporting to the Reference Librarian, Access Services Lead, the Circulation Lead provides excellent customer service at the Law Library circulation desk, working in a fast-paced environment for the purpose of supporting efforts to create an environment conducive for academic and scholarly endeavors at the Law School. The Circulation Lead assists customers with finding information, using library technology, reserving library spaces, and other circulation assistance that facilitates customer access to the collections of the University of Arizona Law Library. The Circulation Lead also coordinates the work of and provides direction to circulation student employees.

Circulation Services Operations and Public Service
- Coordinates daily circulation desk operations, including staffing support, student supervision, responding to patron inquiries, checking materials in/out, troubleshooting patron account issues, and ensuring a welcoming and policy-compliant environment. Covers service desk during staff shortages and escalates complex issues to appropriate personnel.
- Support in selection and recruitment and onboarding of student workers in collaboration with Access Services Librarian. Schedules shifts, requests Alma access, and oversees completion of required trainings (FERPA, safety, etc.). Trains students on desk procedures, equipment use, and communication expectations. Provides ongoing supervision and cross-training to support service continuity.
- Maintains circulation components of Alma, coordinates ILL workflows, and supports course reserves processing. Troubleshoots issues with library equipment (e.g., Meescan, kiosks, compact shelving) and collaborates with technology staff to resolve escalated problems. Assists with special access requests such as faculty document delivery and scanning coordination.
- Collects, tracks, and maintains circulation, ILL, and usage statistics (LibAnswers, LibCal, etc.). Enters data into spreadsheets and provides reports as requested (e.g., for ALLStAR or internal assessments). Monitors supply and equipment inventory and recommends purchases to support access services operations.
- Enforces and supports the implementation of circulation-related policies, procedures, and training manuals. Assists with collection maintenance projects, including shelving organization, shifting, and monitoring material condition. Collaborates with other departments for material relocation projects and supports access services documentation.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 3 year of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of higher education and experience required.
