Job Description
This opportunity involves leading environmental engineering services including compliance, water/wastewater engineering, water resources, stormwater management, and hazardous waste management within WSP's Earth & Environment Federal team in San Diego, CA. The role requires significant consulting experience, technical expertise, and leadership skills to support and expand the federal environmental portfolio.
Your Impact
- Lead and grow the California Navy Environmental portfolio, focusing on compliance and remediation.
- Represent WSP to clients with a solutions-oriented approach, leveraging environmental capabilities.
- Expand relationships within NAVFAC and other federal agencies, driving strategic opportunities for sales and revenue growth.
- Lead or assist in pursuing new contracts, proposals, and bids.
- Manage environmental compliance and engineering projects for federal clients, overseeing budgets, schedules, and team performance.
- Oversee data collection and analysis for environmental samples from various matrices.
- Conduct complex environmental compliance projects and review permit applications and engineering plans.
- Meet with federal entities to discuss environmental issues and develop action plans for large-scale environmental programs.
- Develop a client base for high-level environmental engineering services, mentoring staff, and staying current with engineering techniques.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Experience managing programs over $20M and business development skills.
- 12+ years of relevant post-education experience.
- Professional Civil Engineer license in California.
- Proficiency in environmental laws, regulations, and project management.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, technical writing, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, guide teams, and ensure safety and quality standards.
- Master’s Degree in Engineering.
- First Aid and CPR training.
Benefits and Compensation
Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement, paid leave, and more. Salary range: $146,700–$226,050, based on experience and location.
