The purpose of this class is to serve as a cross-functional web marketing generalist on the web team, assisting with the creation and maintenance of content on the college website. This includes collaborating with subject matter experts throughout the college to ensure the content is accurate, meets audience needs, conforms to CCBC’s web content standards, marketing strategies, and ADA guidelines for web accessibility. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, Marketing, or a related field. 1 year of full-time or 2 years of part-time online content development and publishing experience. Skills and Experience: Familiarity with content management systems. Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Acrobat Pro. Experience in a higher education setting is preferred. Certifications: None required at hire. Within two years of employment, achieve: Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) and Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS), OR W3C Introduction to Web Accessibility certificate. Compensation: Within the posted range, based on education and experience. Typically hired in the lower third of the scale. Application Deadline: For best consideration, apply by May 21, 2025. Essential Duties: Use a CMS to ensure website content is accurate, current, consistent with standards, and adheres to marketing and ADA guidelines. Edit and publish website content; assist with content development and asset management. Conduct regular content audits to ensure relevance and compliance. Support web team to ensure quality, consistency, and timely content delivery. Focus on assigned content areas, collaborate with SMEs and the Digital Strategy team to source and update content. Coordinate with SMEs to enhance pages and update content. Review and publish event submissions. Ensure all content complies with standards and regulations, perform quality assurance checks for errors and accessibility issues. Support web accessibility by creating alt text and addressing violations. Collaborate with designers to source and enhance web content. Assist in testing new website components.
