Webflow Web Developer (Remote Contractor)

The Webflow Web Developer Contractor will support the Web team in developing, managing, and optimizing websites built on Webflow for a variety of clients. This role is primarily project-based and involves executing technical updates, content edits, and performance optimizations to ensure seamless website functionality. The developer will play a key role in supporting SEO initiatives and enabling internal teams to focus on strategy rather than platform-specific learning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Webflow websites for clients across multiple industries.
- Implement SEO optimizations, including structured data, on-page enhancements, and performance improvements within Webflow.
- Execute technical updates and troubleshoot issues within Webflow's CMS and custom code editor.
- Work closely with account and SEO teams to ensure seamless site implementations without requiring them to navigate Webflow's complexities.
- Assist with website launches and ongoing maintenance.
- Provide light training and documentation to help internal teams manage minor updates in Webflow.
- Collaborate with SEO, Content, and Design teams to ensure development aligns with brand and UX/UI best practices.
Requirements
- Expert-level experience with Webflow (this is a must—candidates should be highly proficient).
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience customizing Webflow sites.
- Experience implementing SEO best practices in Webflow, including metadata, schema markup, and site speed optimizations.
- Ability to translate design mockups and wireframes into fully functional Webflow websites.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot Webflow-specific issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and project management skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience working with Webflow in a professional setting.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Webflow CMS migrations and API integrations.
- Familiarity with other CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, etc.).
- Knowledge of UX/UI best practices and responsive design principles.
- Examples of Webflow projects showcasing development expertise.
