Summary
The Creator, Social Media Content is a highly creative and strategic content producer who specializes in crafting compelling social-first content that drives engagement and brand love across organic social channels. This role blends creativity and visual storytelling with critical thinking, producing and refining content that breaks through the cluttered digital landscape and resonates with audiences, while aligning with Zevia’s brand identity and marketing objectives.
This role is hands-on in the entire content creation process — from concept ideation and scripting to shooting, editing, and publishing. They have a keen understanding of product storytelling, socially-informed content creation, and platform-specific best practices, ensuring Zevia’s content remains fresh, relevant, and impactful.
What You’ll Do
- Concept & Create: Conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit engaging social-first content in a variety of formats that highlights Zevia’s products and brand identity in an engaging way.
- Own Production: Handle all aspects of content creation, including storyboarding, scripting, shooting, styling, and editing.
- Trend-Informed Storytelling: Monitor social trends, viral moments, emerging content formats, and platform updates to inform creative development and create timely & relevant content.
- Engage & Amplify: Proactively engage in social conversations, interacting with audiences, brands, and creators to grow Zevia’s presence.
- Optimize & Evolve: Review and analyze performance metrics to refine creative approaches to content and maximize engagement potential.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Brand, Creative, and Marketing teams to maintain a cohesive brand POV across channels and touchpoints.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in social-first content creation, ideally in CPG, food & beverage, or growth/startup brands.
- Proven ability to ideate, storyboard, and produce high-quality social content.
- Hands-on experience shooting and directing content, including both behind and in front of the camera as needed.
- Deep understanding of short-form video formats, platform-specific best practices, and trend-driven storytelling, with a strong pulse on emerging social trends and viral content.
- Proficiency in social media video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) and experience creating content natively in TikTok, Instagram, and beyond. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet evolving deadlines.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours. On rare occasion, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position may require up to 30% travel, as required.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Our compensation package includes a base pay range + bonus + equity
Pay Range
$85,000—$90,000 USD
