Job Description:
The AV Architect will lead and manage the firm's conference center and room-based technology solutions globally. Responsibilities include defining strategy, designing, standardizing, and project managing AV implementations, operations, and support. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a consistent and high-quality AV experience across all offices.
- Establish strategy and global standards for AV planning and design, focusing on conference rooms, moot court, and training rooms.
- Set and support standards for AV hardware, network interfacing, and best practices.
- Manage AV projects from initiation to closure, including requirements gathering, budgeting, purchasing, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
- Review project scope and bill of materials for alignment with standards and requirements.
- Handle project budgets and maintenance agreements.
- Collaborate with global AV support teams to ensure service quality.
- Design systems with various AV equipment and services, including video conferencing, audio, projection, and collaborative technologies.
- Support testing and implementation of new technologies to enhance service and reduce costs.
- Oversee AV system installations, vendor coordination, testing, and quality control.
- Manage equipment lifecycle and inventory.
- Create and maintain AV content for internal platforms.
- Stay updated on new AV technologies and trends.
- Provide training to support staff.
- Coordinate maintenance and issue resolution.
- Travel and work extra hours as needed.
Education and Experience:
Required:
- At least 5 years of AV design and room buildout experience.
- Experience providing remote technical support in an international organization.
- Expertise in AV infrastructure with experience in Crestron, BiAmps, Video Displays, Projectors, Microphones, and amplification technologies.
- Experience with video conferencing platforms like Cisco, Zoom, Microsoft, and hardware from Cisco and Polycom.
- Advanced skills with AV technical services such as Cisco TAC and Zoom support.
- Proficiency in deploying, operating, and supporting AV and video conferencing technology.
- Knowledge of video conferencing equipment configurations and IP appliances.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Cisco Certifications like CTS-I, CTS-D, CCNA-Voice are a plus.
- Knowledge of security, routing, switching, wireless, programming, and network technologies.
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communications and Zoom Room technology.
- Experience with EMS scheduling software.
- Experience in the professional services industry (legal, advertising, accounting, consulting).
