Job Description
Marathon TS is looking for an AV Systems Engineer who will design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical and electronics equipment, including broadcast and communications systems, electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, and wiring in buildings, automobiles, aircraft, radar, navigation systems, and transmission devices used by electric utilities. Electrical Engineers (EE) work closely with computers and specialize in areas such as power, transmission, distribution, communications, and electrical equipment manufacturing. They design new products, write performance requirements, develop maintenance schedules, test equipment, solve operating problems, and estimate the time and cost of engineering projects.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Working with NIWC Pacific Engineer, Systems III, provide engineering & support services for various C2 facilities, including AV design and installation of space operations centers and workstations to facilitate quick mission assessment and decision-making.
- Configure equipment to provide integrated systems.
- Support programming for audiovisual system controllers.
- Identify materials incidental to integration tasks not provided.
- Complete system tests per established plans to ensure proper operation and compatibility with interfacing systems, subsystems, equipment, and software.
- Troubleshoot and advise on corrective actions for maintenance and operational issues.
- Coordinate acceptance and turn-over with government representatives.
- Provide training and documentation for new systems for users.
- Build and link control system viewers on the network.
- Integrate Room Scheduling components and AV switch matrices in identified spaces.
- Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to all AV solutions.
- Integrate and configure AV management software suites and test AV equipment and plans.
Accountabilities:

- Maintain current industry knowledge through self-education.
- Communicate progress effectively with managers and team members.
- Manage and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or 7 years of relevant experience.
- Current active TS Clearance.
- Experience in AV engineering and design, familiar with AV applications.
- Knowledge of quality monitoring during design and development phases.
- Certifications: CTS-D (AVIXA), CQD (AQAV), and certifications in Extron, QSYS, AMX, or related AV areas.
Working Conditions:
- Protection of confidential/unclassified information.
- Primarily indoor work; outdoor work may involve temperature extremes and weather.
- Occasional travel required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, handle objects, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and smell.
- Lift up to 30 pounds as necessary.
