The Senior Learning Solution Design Architect role will be responsible for envisioning and architecting the design and development of learning experiences for our Leader Portfolio. This individual will collaborate closely with our learners, audience program managers, business partners and key stakeholders to translate business needs into breakthrough learning experiences that shift mindset and create sustained behavior change.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Technical Writing, Paralegal, or related field AND 6+ years experience in instructional design, experience design, education
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Education, Marketing, English, Communication, or related field AND 4+ years experience in instructional design, experience design, education
- OR Master's Degree in Psychology, Education, Marketing, English, Communication, or related field AND 3+ years experience in instructional design, experience design, education
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Education, Marketing, English, Communication, or related field, or related field AND 8+ years of experience in instructional design, experience design, education
- OR Master's Degree in Psychology, Education, Marketing, English, Communication, or related field AND 6+ years instructional design, experience design, education
- OR Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Education, or related field AND 3+ years experience in instructional design, experience design, education
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of architecting and designing learning experiences using design thinking methodologies and multimedia design tools
- Microsoft Fundamentals, Coaching (e.g., International Coaching Federation), Project and/or Program Management Professional, archival, or a similar certificate.
- Demonstrates commitment to career development and continuous or consistent learning through formal and informal efforts (e.g., change management, design thinking, management training, online courses).
- Application of instructional design and user experience methodologies
- Understanding of talent management processes and practices, with experience designing leadership development learning solutions.
- Proven ability to develop and implement learning strategies that drive organizational performance and support culture change.
- Experience evaluating learning interventions and using data to inform design decisions.
- Proficiency in prototyping techniques to rapidly test and iterate on learning solutions.
- Knowledge and implementation of project management, aligned to learning design.
- Application of adult learning theory, behavioral sciences and neuroscience of learning.
- Application of inclusive design practices, including accessibility standards.
Instructional Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Impact the company's culture through the development of innovative learning experiences aligned to Microsoft’s Leadership Principles, Manager Expectations, Values and Cultural Attributes.
- Manage the design, development, and delivery of multiple design projects across The Leadership Portfolio that make solutions more cohesive, discoverable, and relevant for our learners.
- Take a data-driven and human-centered approach to validate learning needs and architect end-to-end learning experiences that are relevant to the needs of both our learners and the organization.
- Apply the latest in behavioral sciences, generative AI and neuroscience to guide the development of signature, leading-edge solutions, taking an evidence-based approach to design.
- Leverage personas, experience journey maps and learner data to determine solution hypotheses that directly support the learning outcomes and measures of success.
- Apply design thinking to create and rapidly test solutions early-in-design and ensure ongoing iterations are fully targeted to effectively build capability and shift mindset.
- Partner closely with subject matter experts across experience management, technology, operations, global diversity and inclusion, and related areas to create durable and impactful learning solutions.
- Ensure all solutions meet Microsoft’s standards, including accessibility and global readiness, and apply these standards, starting at the earliest phases of the design process.
- A portfolio or design samples will be requested to demonstrate capabilities.
