In this role, you will connect dots across several teams and journeys; planning, preparing and executing impactful research and strategy to transform the way consumers access and utilize their health benefits. You will spend your time defining agent, payer, employer and consumer journeys, identifying optimal strategies to drive growth and efficiency, and build trust with our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:Work directly with consumers, employers and customer service agents to define how a premium healthcare benefits experience looks and feels and translate those findings into actionable next steps for design, product and engineeringCollaborate closely with engineers, product owners/managers and designers to ensure the solutions we ship are aligned with users' needs and goalsEvangelize the value of UX Research & Strategy, focusing on business value and risk mitigationExecute strategic and tactical research across one or more large pillars of the businessAs the team grows, manage a team of UX researchers, supporting them in work prioritization, methodological selection and insights translationWork with adjacent research teams to create a cadence for collaboration/sharing

Preferred Qualifications:Experience with both remote and in-person testing (experience in lab environments a plus!)Experience applying formative and evaluative research methods to complex business questionsProven deep empathy for the user and an ability to communicate the value of empathy to stakeholders effectivelyProven adaptability to work in both a fast-paced startup environment and an enterprise environmentProven ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations that drive impact for the businessProven solid ability/desire to collaborate across teams and partner types

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
