TELEWORK This position offers an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule with a minimum 2-day work in office. YOUR FUTURE TEAM As part of the executive directors office, you would support management of the agency's day-to-day operations. See details about what we do. This position is a member of our External Relations Division. WHAT YOU WILL DO As a part of the divisions Publishing team, our Web UX Specialist will play a key role in achieving TCEQs mission. You would use your skills and experience to: Coordinate the development of web content, ensuring alignment with TCEQ goals and objectives. Participate in maintaining the agency's web information architecture for user-friendly navigation. Collaborate on content strategy, integrating new content while adhering to accessibility and agency standards. Conduct usability research and testing, preparing comprehensive reports and actionable recommendations. Deliver presentations on usability findings to various levels of staff. Edit web content using plain-language techniques, maintaining accuracy, and meaning. Contribute to the evolution of web standards, guidelines, and training programs for staff education. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A bachelors degree with a major in journalism, public relations, advertising, communications, English, or a natural resources or science related field , plus three years of full-time experience in writing, scripting, editing, related areas in communications, or in positions involving such activities as journalism, outreach, public relations, advertising, preparation of public information releases and reports, and other news materials, or performing related activities in a public or private enterprise. OR Four years of full-time experience in writing, scripting, editing, related areas in communications, or in positions involving such activities as journalism, outreach, public relations, advertising, preparation of public information releases and reports, and other news materials, or performing related activities in a public or private enterprise. TRANSCRIPTS / COLLEGE HOURS OR COURSE WORK See instructions on how to attach documents. A copy of your official college transcript or evaluation of foreign credentials in CAPPS is required if needed to meet the minimum qualification requirements outlined above.
