What you'll do as the SEO Content Specialist:

Lead the development and execution of comprehensive SEO strategies for multiple Myrtle Beach-related sites. This includes tailoring SEO initiatives to align with specific KPIs and revenue goals.

Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify relevant search terms.

Write high-quality, SEO-optimized content, including blog posts, website copy, email copy, and engaging social media content.

Optimize and update existing website content to ensure it remains current and accurate while ranking well on SERPs.

Perform regular audits and optimize website content, including meta tags, headings, and internal linking structures for enhanced search engine visibility and user experience.

Utilize Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Looker Studio and other tools to build, maintain, and update web analytics reporting.

Leverage data insights to identify opportunities for content optimization and technical improvements.

Stay at the forefront of the ever-evolving SEO landscape by following the latest updates, trends and best practices.

Work independently with input from the VP of Operations and President to ensure content aligns with strategic goals.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in SEO.

Proven track record of success in keyword research and applying SEO best practices.

Strong understanding of the tourism industry and Myrtle Beach as a destination

Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content.

Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across marketing teams.

Ability to work independently while keeping key stakeholders informed.
