JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State World Campus is seeking an individual to join our Media Team to create, maintain , and optimize search engine marketing campaigns (SEM) and assist with search engine optimization ( SEO ) strategies for the Penn State World Campus brand, program, and military team s. This position also provides SEM platform and SEO research, campaign analytics, industry best practices, and support for those media efforts on a national and geo-targeted level.

This position for SEM/SEO will:

S et up SEM campaign s on platforms such as Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising and assist with keyword research

Monitor, track, and regularly report on campaign metrics

Implement campaign targeting and structural changes to optimize SEM campaign performance as needed

Collaborate with internal partners to develop SEM tactics that meet the strategic needs of the unit and Penn State World Campus

Assist with leveraging website analytics and SEO tools to analyze and improve organic search engine ranking

Keep updated on SEM and SEO innovations, trends, and technologies, especially as they relate to higher education and adult learners

The ideal candidate will have:

knowledge of planning, executing, and optimizing SEM campaigns as well as a general understanding of digital and cost-per-click ( CPC ) marketing strategies and principles

strong analytical and decision-making skills

excellent communication and presentation skills

the ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal partners , marketing leadership, and other individuals in the broader unit

experience working directly in SEM campaign platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising) for campaign setup, audience and bid management, keyword research, and campaign optimization preferred

experience working with third-party SEO tools

Minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree or higher plus three (3) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of SEM/SEO Strategy , who manages the team of media strategists responsible for all our SEM campaigns and budgets and SEO initiatives . The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$61,800.00 - $89,600.00
