We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health!Organization:PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation ALDPosition Overview:Providing functional direction to clinicians and office activities by offering input to technical procedural guidelines, and acting as a resource for lab personnel. Supervises the activities in the absence of the manager. Provides treatment, management, diagnostic testing, control, education, and care of patients with sleep and wake disorders. Analyzes, monitors, and records physiologic data during sleep and wakefulness to assist in the treatment of disorders, syndromes, and dysfunctions that are sleep-related, manifest during sleep, or disrupt normal sleep activities. Provides therapeutic and diagnostic use of oxygen, the use of positive airway pressure including continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and bilevel modalities, adaptive servoventilation, and maintenance of nasal and oral airways that do not extend into the trachea.Job Description:EDUCATION:Other: Graduate of an accredited polysomnographic education program.CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:BRPT-Current credentials as a Polysomnographic Technologist issued by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic TechnologistsOR RCP-Respiratory Care PractitionerBLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare ProviderOTHER-STATE registration with the California State Medical Board as a Technologist (unless RCP)TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:8 years of recent experience.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of basic management principles and methods.Advanced understanding of computers and digital networks for digital data analysis and trouble shooting computer malfunctions.
