WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Onsite AV Manager maintains and is responsible for all service and repairs of customers’ audio video equipment and fully integrated conference rooms including auditoriums and board rooms. This role interfaces directly with the customer and their responsibilities include maintaining daily functionality of all AV and integrated conference rooms. This role commonly includes managing a small team of AVI-SPL Onsite Managed Services staff.

The position calls for collaboration with internal and external teams. This is a key role in maintaining a good partner relationship and being sensitive to our client’s needs and schedules. The end goal of the Onsite AV Manager it to deliver a world-class Customer Service experience.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

Oversee team responsible for on-site preventative maintenance visits and for consistent identification and repair of defective or failed equipmentAssist team members with timesheet approval, paid time off requests, scheduling for shift coverage, and other managerial duties as neededProvide reports and adhere to metrics outlined in contract to provide service level defined per agreement and act as a first point of escalationLiaison between Customer and AVI-SPL, coordinating weekly meetings with AVI-SPL in order to identify value adds (client specific equipment training, etc.)Gather metrics & deliver quarterly PowerPoint presentations to Client & AVI-SPL representatives where applicableMentor team members in technical and client facing skillsKeep management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business resultsAnalyze trends, problems, and drive solutionsImplement processes as needed to enable smooth delivery of servicesSetup/breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needsPerform preventative maintenance task to help maintain customer spacesClean various AV equipment including but not limited to camera lenses, monitors and equipment fansWork with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPLProvide client training as neededAdhere to and understand local safety standards for all site duties

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:

Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleaguesAbility to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient mannerAbility to solder & crimp connectorsAbility to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlinesBasic computer knowledgeKnowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and controlValid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards

Nice-To-Haves:

Minimum 3 - 5 years of Management experience in similar or related fieldExperience in the AV industry is preferredExperience operating in a complex matrix business environment is desirableValid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standardsFormal education in Electronics or related field preferredExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Visio, Adobe Acrobat
