SEO Strategist

Position Overview

The SEO Strategist position is responsible for enabling effective Search Engine Optimization programs and strategies across all residential digital assets, including websites, images, video, downloadable content , and campaigns. The SEO Strategist will work with Digital Strategy , Brand , Content, and IT teams to execute and enhance the existing SEO program model that includes technical, on-page, and off-page SEO practices and disciplines. Additionally, th is individual will be responsible for both short-term and long-term strategic plans to improve organic performance across all residential websit es.

Nature and Scope of Responsibilities:

Driving SEO success by identifying proactive initiatives, analyzing and reporting on the success of past initiatives, and creating a long-term SEO roadmap.

Provide strategic consultation and insights regarding technical/site health audits, keyword research, re-optimization plans, backlinking, listings/citations, and content development.

Collaborate frequently with IT to improve site and page performance specific to Core Web Vital factors impacting total health. Exercise pre and post site update audit review approaches.

Develop plans for existing and new content creation to support the larger content strategy based on rebranding and site redesign plans .

Plan for success ful implement ation of keyword -rich content d eploy ed across all non-paid channels to maximize visibility, search and referral traffic.

Continuously own and update best practices as well as research the latest evolving technologies impacting SEO, such as generative AI.

Manage the SEO tools stack and continue to improve operational and reporting efficiencies through iterative, integrated solutions.

Present monthly organic performance reports to key stakeholders and le adership with a focus on driving/achieving bus iness KPIs and objectives .

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.

5-8 years of experience managing SEO programs comprising technical, on-page, and off-page practices within an e-commerce environment.

Deep familiarity with SEO tools Semrush , Screaming Frog, Spyfu , or the equivalent.

Hands-on experience with Google Products (Google Search Console, GA4, Google Merchant Center)

Product page SEO experience required

Experience working with Technical/ IT teams to troubleshoot , test , and resolve technical SEO issues demonstrated by improved site health and search position.

Consultative, analytical background through either agency or client contracts or experiences.

Solid understanding of how to leverage and optimize search intent and practices at different steps in the consumer/buyer’s journey
