WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Fors Marsh is running a federally funded communications and advertising campaign to promote seasonal flu, COVID-19, and RSV vaccinations among vulnerable populations. Fors Marsh seeks a researcher with expertise in audience segmentation and data analytics to contribute to key campaign goals including geospatial mapping and campaign optimization. This position will support the Campaign's segmentation efforts by leveraging advanced analytic techniques to identify, understand, and track target audiences. The senior scientist will closely coordinate with the project team to ensure segmentation efforts meet campaign needs and objectives.

Responsibilities include:Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processesAnalyzing large amounts of data from multiple sources, including but not limited to: segmentation datasets, government databases, Census data, and primary survey data, with a heavy focus on geographic-level dataInterpreting complex data to identify patterns and actionable insightsPropose solutions and strategies to business challengesPresenting data science/analytics research findings to communication audiences and clientsLeading the preparation of reports, presentation decks, and other internal and external communications summarizing analytics data and implications for campaign strategyRegularly interfacing with campaign teams to represent findings and discuss potential implicationsWorking closely with the project team on a day-to-day basis and working under tight deadlines to fulfill client requestsCommunicating effectively and professionally with stakeholders with varying ranges of research knowledge and experience, including tailoring materials for different levels of audience, both technical and non-technicalAnticipating potential barriers to project completion, proposing solutions to team leadershipRequired Qualifications:

At least 5 years relevant experience with data science, segmentation, or communications planningBachelor's degree in social science, data science, public health, statistics, marketing or related fieldExpertise in statistical analysis languages such as RProficiency in GIS software (e.g. ArcGIS)Proficiency in PythonExperience with SQL and database management systems. PostgresSQL is preferred.Database and ETL systems to query and extract dataData science experienced including supervised, semi-supervised, and unsupervised models; generalized linear/additive models; mixed models; random forest; clustering techniques; Bayesian approaches; cross-validation and model performance evaluationExperience working with large, complex, and nuanced datasetsSuperior verbal and written communications skillsCuriosity and a desire to learnApplicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive informationMust be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirementsPreferred Qualifications:

Masters / PHD in social science, data science, public health, statistics, or marketingApplied experience with communications and or advertisingExperience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similarExperience in working with Cloud computing servers (e.g. AWS) and data and data science related services (e.g., RDS, S3, SageMaker).Experience with audience segmentation and proficiency in commercial segmentation software (e.g., MRI-Simmons, Neilsen, Claritas)Knowledge of marketing metrics, marketing principles and terminologyExperience in applied research as part of a government contractExperience working with government agencies such as FDA, CDC, CPSC, or HHSWe Offer:

$108,000 - $125,000
