Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage marketing personnel.Recruit and train staff within the Marketing Department.Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage effective marketing strategies, programs, and promotions to build market share and increase customer retention across market segments.Create annual marketing plan and budget to support marketing strategies and ensure adherence to approved budget.Collaborate with marketing and advertising vendors to optimize the bank’s marketing in a cost-effective manner.Position, develop, and manage the bank’s website as an interactive delivery system.Create compelling content and visually appealing designs for the website and advertisements (electronic and print) to showcase the products and services offered.Contribute to the design, content, and growth strategies for social media platforms.Coordinate the bank’s publicity program and develop press releases.Develop, produce, and distribute external and internal marketing communications.Manage the bank’s corporate contributions activity and community relations efforts.Conduct marketing research and analysis to measure return on investment for campaigns, website usage, etc.Lead product development and enhancement initiatives, including product and competitive analysis.Maintain the bank’s brand identity across various visual elements.Actively make sales referrals and promote the use of the bank’s financial services within all market segments.Participate in community and civic organizations to positively reflect the bank and the community.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, journalism, or a related field.5+ years of progressive experience in marketing with a concentration in banking.Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Minimum Typing Speed Required:
25 wpm or higher keyboarding speed.
Language Skills:
Clear communication skills, both orally and in writing.Ability to communicate effectively across the organization and to all levels of staff.Proficiency in English language structure, composition, and grammar.Bilingual skills desirable.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in graphic design, desktop publishing, personal computing, and basic bookkeeping.Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Organizational Skills:
Excellent organizational skills.Ability to thrive in a multiple project, deadline-oriented environment.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Change Management: Embrace change as an opportunity and support management’s ideas to affected staff.Managing Work: Outline overall project plans, determine necessary steps for completion, and delegate tasks to ensure accurate, timely, and budget-compliant project delivery.Marketing and Advertising: Understand marketing and advertising in a community bank context, including budget development, optimal media usage, market research, compliance with bank marketing regulations, and competitive analysis.Product Knowledge: Understand banking product concepts to help set pricing, recommend feature/function changes, and ensure the bank remains competitive and profitable.
