HDR is hiring an Electronic Security Designer 2 to join our team in Orlando, FL.
Primary Responsibilities:
Primary duties will include the development of design specifications and drawings for integrated low voltage systems. Major areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Meeting with clients to determine detailed communications project requirementsDevelop communications design narratives, specifications, drawings and cost estimates for projectsCoordinate electronic security design work with other disciplines such as Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.Formally present electronic security design ideas and submissions to clientsPerform internal quality assurance/quality control for peer projectsPerform contractor bid submittal review for completenessProvide construction administration services during construction phases of projects

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in low voltage system designMust be able to travel up to 40% of the timeBroad industry knowledge and experience with Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, Systems, UFC Standards,Must be self-starting, self-directing, and task orientedDemonstrated ability to manage a number of concurrent projects and meet deadlinesMust possess strong written, verbal and communications skillsStrong computer skills required, such as MS Office Suite, working across multiple office networks and automated business systems
Preferred Qualifications
PSP certification is preferredCEPTED preferredAutoCAD, Microstation, VISIO, Bluebeam experience is a plusMilitary design experience is a plusLocal candidates are preferred
