POSITION SUMMARY:The Manager, Marketing is a creative leader and a core member of the Marketing Department at Boston Medical Center Health System (BMCHS). Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing, the Manager will be responsible for maintaining and refining a high-performing, data-driven, culturally sensitive email marketing program for Boston Medical Center to reach a variety of audiences including patients and referring providers. The manager will ensure all necessary components of the strategy are successfully incorporated and implemented (i.e. measurement reports, testing strategy, scalability, process improvement, data collection, lead generation, content development, etc). Collaborating with the Senior Manager, the role will drive and maintain the overall strategy, processes and frameworks for brand-level and department-level email campaigns. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge and demonstrable experience in email marketing including campaign and program planning, deliverability, copywriting, template design, execution and data analysis.The ideal candidate is a strong team player, multi-tasker and project driver with experience effectively leveraging external partners and team members with varied skillsets to support email program requirements and ability to scale. BMCHS also includes Boston HealthNet, a network of twelve community health centers, as well as Clearway Health specialty pharmacy program.Position: ManagerDepartment: Marketing, Creative ServicesSchedule: Full TimeESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:Maintain and refine email marketing strategy with the support of the Senior Manager and ensure broader consistency with other push marketing channels (i.e. social media).Partner with senior leaders on teams outside of Marketing and Communications such as IT, patient experience, operations to ensure email content relevancy for all campaigns and develop a system for email "air traffic" control across the enterpriseBuild and optimize segmentation and email content personalization strategies based on patient behavior/intent, activity data, industry, and demographicsFurther establish centralized email program within one tool for hospital departments and programs to leverage, allowing for stronger quality control and patient experience through this channel across the institutionCreate, maintain and facilitate ongoing training of all users of email marketing toolsManage email production processes, schedules, and overall email editorial calendar in partnership with the Senior Manager and social media teamOrganize and assign out specific work to external partners and other team members to support the email marketing programPartner with brand, design, digital and content colleagues to produce all email campaignsDrive continuous improvement across email KPIs including deliverability, open rates, click-to-open rates, conversion rates, opt-out rates, etcEnsure compliance with email marketing laws and regulationsCommunicate email campaign analysis, learnings and forecasting to key stakeholdersDevelop lead nurture and lead generation strategies to engage more patients and relevant audiences with the BMC brandStay current with continuing education and relevant certifications in email marketing automation toolsSupport and project manage brand-level campaignsSupport the Marketing leadership team in the development of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) approachManage one direct report (student intern)
