Audio Visual Coordinator

Reports to: Pastor, Head of Staff; Director of Music
Status: Part-time, hourly (average of 4 hrs/wk)
Pay rate: $30 to $50/hour - Experience Dependent
FLSA: Exempt
Job summary
The Audio-Visual Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of A/V needs for River Glen Presbyterian Church, including Sunday morning worship, streaming, rehearsals, and other services and special events as needed.
Services AV Management
- Oversee the setup of all AV needs for all RGPC services including Sunday Church Service, Weddings, Funerals, and special services or events.
- Setup of Microphones and Microphone Stands, Floor Monitors, AV Computer, Projector, Streaming, Amplifiers and Mixers, Sound Board, the Worship Center AV Desk, and Portable AV Equipment for services/events that take place outside of the Worship Center.
- Preparation and editing of audio & visual files to be included in presentations and program files for Sunday Services, weddings, Funerals, etc.
- Management of backgrounds and image files for SongShow and Stream files.
- Management of presentation software SongShow Plus and preparation of programs including video files and audio files.
- Management of Sonos system for transmitting service audio to lower-level childcare area.
- Manage live streaming during services to RGPC YouTube Channel.
- Soundchecks and Audio leveling for services – Sunday mornings before worship Service or pre-scheduled times for other events.
- SongShow Program Testing for services.
- Live Stream testing for services including validation of Locations, Cameras, and Presets.
- Run and Manage all AV during the services and events with the help of AV Volunteers.
- Close and secure all AV equipment used during services and events.
Live Stream Management
- Manage the RGPC YouTube Channel regarding any services such as Sunday Worship Services, Weddings, Funerals, or other events from RGPC.
- Prepare Worship Leader documents for the following:
- Validate “Locations” as designated by Pastors and Director of Music.
- Identify Camera to be used at each Location.
- Identify Presets to be used by each Camera and Location.
- Manage and Edit post-Live Stream services including:
- Video Details: Titles, Descriptions, Thumbnails, Playlists, Audience, Tags, Languages, Recording Information, Categories,
- Channel Customization: Video Spotlight, Featured Sections, Branding, and Basic Info
AV Equipment Management
- Manage all RGPC AV equipment including general maintenance & cleaning, updates, hardware & software management.
- Equipment includes but is not limited to the following:
- Sound Boards, microphones, cables, digital and wireless receivers, distribution amplifiers, routers, transmitters, DVD players, computers, hearing aid devices, monitors, speakers, projectors, video screens
- Software includes but is not limited to the following:
- SongShow Plus
- Video and Audio Editing solutions
- Microsoft Office
- Google Drive
- Maintenance, upkeep, and security of AV Computer.
- Manage AV Ministry Team
- Recruit volunteers for ongoing service in AV
- Train volunteers to help run AV at services at Sunday morning worship, weddings, funerals, musicals, events, and outdoor services.
- Manage the scheduling of AV Volunteers for services and events.
- Ensure all services are properly staffed for AV needs.
- Use the RGPC scheduling tool “Ministry Scheduler Pro” to schedule, manage substitutes, and notifications/reminders take place.
- Recruit volunteers for ongoing service in AV
Worship, Music, and Arts (“WMA”) Team Member
- Represent AV for RGPC as part of the WMA Team by participating in part or all of the monthly meetings as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with audio and video production
- Experience and knowledge in music
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Experience managing projects
- Demonstrates skills and techniques to recognize problems and apply timely and appropriate corrective actions
- Ability to think clearly under pressure and follow-through to ensure effective resolution
- Demonstrate ability to make independent decisions based on the vision and values of RGPC
- Able to pass sexual misconduct background checks and willing to submit to criminal background check
Physical Requirements
- Able to communicate in a public forum
- Able to physically perform all essential functions
