Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $50,000
Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a regionally accredited college or university
Required Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience using a learning management system (LMS) or other learning technology program
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with online instruction.
- Experience with Canvas (by Instructure) or other Learning Management Systems.
- Knowledge of LC State campus procedures and policies.
- Knowledge of the ADA, ADAAA, and Sections 503 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate collaborative and professional working relationships with faculty, staff, and administrators in assigned academic units
- Develop and maintain asynchronous training courses on the use of the LMS and creating accessible online course materials
- Provide one-on-one assistance for faculty in the use of the LMS and related technologies
- Conduct workshops and training for faculty and staff on innovative strategies and technologies to solve instructional problems in the online environment
- Perform internal Quality Matters course reviews for course development cohorts and by division chair request
- Coordinate with the Accessibility Services office to provide training and guidance to faculty for creating accessible online course materials (accessible documents, PowerPoint's, and closed-captioned videos)
- Assist Testing Center staff with technical issues and student accommodation settings
- Serve on college-wide committees and/or task forces as needed
- Serve as lead Instructional Designer for faculty in all Liberal Arts & Sciences divisions/departments
- Represent eLearning Services on the Library Advisory Committee
- Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
