Search Solution Group is seeking a Design/Sales Consultant on behalf of our client, a leading North American custom window coverings franchise. This role is essential to driving the company's growth by turning interested prospects into satisfied customers through in-home consultations, design expertise, and tailored product recommendations. The ideal candidate will combine sales acumen with an eye for design, working directly with clients to create personalized window treatment solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-home consultations with prospective customers who have expressed interest via phone or online inquiry
- Assess client needs and recommend custom window covering solutions based on preferences, lifestyle, and budget
- Present product options and guide clients through the design and purchasing process
- Provide accurate measurements and assist with order entry
- Build lasting relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Maintain an organized schedule and manage appointments effectively
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in design, business, or a related field is a plus
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or design consultation preferred
- In-home sales experience is a strong advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to assess customer needs and provide creative solutions
- Self-motivated and highly organized
- Basic math and measurement skills
- No certifications required, though design-related training is a plus
- Familiarity with home dcor, interior design, or window treatment products preferred
- Basic understanding of sales techniques and customer engagement
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Confidence in making product recommendations
- Time management and self-direction
- Professionalism and reliability
