SEO Specialist:

WebstaurantStore, the world's largest restaurant supply company, is hiring a full-time SEO Specialist to join our experienced search marketing team in this dynamic, fast-growing company. Our SEO Specialists work cross-departmentally to continuously improve the website's overall performance, with specific accountability for organic search traffic and revenue. We're looking for candidates with experience in the following areas: Search indexation, sitemaps, web vitals, Schema markup, and technical SEO.

The candidate must possess the following qualities:Technical Acumen.

The ability to dig into potentially complex SEO issues that come from having a large website that search engines want to crawl and communicate findings to the appropriate teams.Entrepreneurial Spirit.

The search marketing landscape changes rapidly and without warning, so the strategies that worked yesterday might not work today. Because of that, we need an individual who loves to dive in, experiment, and develop innovative solutions to new challenges.Curiosity.

Sometimes things just do not look right. Success as an SEO Specialist comes from researching how things are supposed to work and making sure each technical area of the site is functioning properly for search engines.What you will do, but not limited to:

Monitor indexation rates, sitemap counts, crawl errors, and URL issues.Diagnose and report on any crawling, rendering, or indexing issues.Communicate technical SEO issues to product owners and stakeholders.Look for opportunities where new structured data can be implemented.Maintain an up-to-date understanding of technical best practices across search engine optimization.Assist with various SEO data projects including website tagging and data visualizations.Preferred skills:

Expertise in Google Search Console.Working experience in crawling, parsing, extracting data, and analyzing large numbers of website pages using tools like Screaming Frog.Working knowledge HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.Working knowledge of recognized SEO toolsets, e.g. SEMRush, Ahrefs, Majestic, Rank Ranger.Proficiency with Chrome Developer Tools for on page and performance analysis.Proficiency with Google Tag Manager, GA4, and Looker Studio.

Candidate must be willing to demonstrate proficiency and critical thinking skills with a small project during the interview process.
