Client Information:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Division of HIV Prevention (DHP) focus on high impact prevention of HIV-by preventing new HIV infections, improving health outcomes for persons with HIV, and reducing HIV related disparities and health inequities.

DHP develops and maintains a variety of data and information systems to support its mission, including systems to collect, transmit, store, and analyze data for HIV/AIDS surveillance, epidemiology, and program monitoring and evaluation. We are looking for IT and public health partners including statisticians, researchers, behavioral scientists, computer scientists, public health advisors/analysts, budget analysts, and other program staff.

Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain high-performing, scalable, and secure web applications for the CDC's DHAP.Write clean, functional code on the front-end and back-end platforms.Collaborate with project managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to define and implement innovative solutions for the project direction, visuals, and experience.Conduct website performance tests, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that all parts of the web application are robust and easy to maintain.Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of professional web development experience.Strong proficiency in modern frameworks and platforms such as React, Angular, Vue.js for frontend and Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or Django for backend.Experience with database technology such as MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.Familiarity with web server technologies like Apache, Nginx, and IIS.Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.Preferred:

Experience in developing web applications for health care, public health, or government sectors.Knowledge of web security practices and ensuring compliance with privacy laws and regulations.Certifications related to web development technologies, such as Certified Web Developer, JavaScript Developer Certification, or Full Stack Web Developer.Location:
