About This Role:
Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join the UX/UI team (User Experience & User Interface). You will be leading client programs that span early conceptualization through production of digital solutions in native mobile, web, and embedded hardware applications. This role reports to the Manager of UX/UI Design and collaborates with Research and Design teams globally.
As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will be part of a cross-functional team including Project and Functional Leads, UX/UI Designers, Researchers, Industrial Designers, Software Engineers, and more. Your responsibility is to design digital solutions that meet user needs, mitigate risk, and delight clients. You will ensure that all elements of the digital user experience are optimized for usability, accessibility, information, and visual design.
The ideal candidate should be innovative, creative, well-organized, and a self-starter. You should be passionate about delivering adaptive and creative solutions, staying up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology.
What You Will Do:
- UX/UI functional lead supporting client programs in the med tech space: Leading the UX design of new digital products, their education, and product labeling.
- Create deliverables that translate unmet user needs into design solutions.
- Support various deliverables such as wireframes, information architectures, workflow diagrams, prototypes, UI specifications, and style guides.
- Visually communicate clinical data through storytelling.
- Design labeling to improve user experience, education, and risk reduction.
- Support UX design for instructions for use, quick reference guides, and interactive user guides.
- Participate in clinical site visits, user research, feedback sessions, and usability testing.
- Collaborate with research, industrial design, human factors, and engineering teams.
- Present design solutions to clients: Clearly communicate design intent and plan activities to ensure team success.
- Support client relationships as a design lead.
- Develop client presentations that capture the design process.
- Manage project timelines and expectations effectively.
- Support and build team culture: Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior designers. Share knowledge and foster team needs.
- Interest in business development: Understand proposal processes and advocate as a leader in the UX/UI community.
Qualifications:
- BFA, BS, BA, or BSID in UX, UI, Graphic, Interactive, Industrial Design, or related fields.
- 3-6 years of experience in digital product design.
- A portfolio demonstrating UX/UI work for mobile, web, or embedded applications.
- Deep knowledge of user experience and digital interface design.
- Proficiency with software like Figma, HTML/CSS, iOS, Android, Design Systems, Adobe Suite.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
Preferred:
- Experience with medical devices and healthcare software.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry and medical device markets.
- Ability to handle ambiguity with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of software and developer languages is a plus.
- Experience with user research studies.
- Medical device labeling and packaging design experience.
