72andSunny Snags ‘Call of Duty’ Duties from Chiat LA

L.A.-based 72andSunny seems like it’s on quite a tear, no? A week after picking up the Fiat North American business (allegedly, right), sources familiar with the matter tell us that it’s taking over for TBWA\Chiat\Day LA to handle advertising duties for Activision-Blizzard’s lucrative Call of Duty franchise and “other projects.” According to Venture Beat, Activision could make $1.25 billion in additional revenue over the next three years thanks to its famed franchise.

Chiat LA, to refresh your memories, was picked to market Call of Duty 2: Modern Warfare back in 2009. We’ll stop short of calling 72andSunny the AOR for Activision, though. Above, witness the trailer for Modern Warfare 3.
