It came in late in the evening, but yes, BBDO New York has been named creative AOR for Orbitz, a brand that has done its own traveling in the agency world in recent months having moved its account from Mullen to Trailer Park last year. This latest review was launched in December and according to reports, Mullen and Trailer Park were both invited to participate though the former confirmed that it did not pitch for the business.

In a statement, the client says, “In BBDO, Orbitz Worldwide has chosen a partner that is an award winning agency across all forms of marketing communications.” The agency will work directly with Orbitz VP of brand marketing Deborah Italiano to develop a multimedia brand campaign that is expected to debut this summer. BBDO wouldn’t comment but we’re being told that CCO David Lubars and ECD Ronald Ng will lead the creative team.
