Digitas Health Makes Cuts in Philly, NY

One month after we initially reported about impending cuts at Digitas Health, our sources on behalf of the agency confirm that today, 57 staffers, or approximately eight percent of DH’s workforce, were cut in New York and Philadelphia. Staff count now stands at 664.

We’ve been told that the layoffs were NOT a result of client loss but a transforming healthcare market (i.e. pharma brands reducing marketing spend) and a new agency structure that “leverages” both the Digitas Health and Razorfish Health brands along with the talent within called  “shared centers of excellence.” We’ve been told that today’s layoffs affected multiple areas at DH including digital and mobile technology, science and medicine, regulatory management and data analytics.
