McCann Worldgroup alum Bryan Christian, who now serves as general manager of Kolar Advertising & Marketing, has now acquired the latter shop and re-branded it as Proof Advertising.

In the process, the Austin-based agency formerly known as Kolar, which counts clients including 3M and Subway, is merging with hometown boutique SJ&J Advertising. As for Christian, the exec joined Kolar in 2002 after spending most of his ad career at McCann, leading new business efforts out of the New York office. Joining Christian at Proof is creative director and SJ&J founder Craig Mikes, who is the new agency’s only other equity partner.
