Lowe New York Lets Them Go

We’ve gotten the news that Lowe New York has let go some of its staffers. Adweek is saying it’s 5%. Not surprised. IPG is in the midst of what is supposed to be a 2,000 to 3,000 person massive layoff. Everyone has, is or will be trimming staff. Sorry guys. So sorry. We’re going to poach some copy from Please Feed The Animals about the Lowe firings:

“All of whom are far too good and far too humble for the bullshit machines that call themselves creative pioneers. Are you really creative? Then creatively find a way to win business. Creatively cut costs elsewhere. Get rid of the coffee bars and summer outings. Get rid of the car service. Implement a hiring freeze. But for God’s sake, don’t treat some of the most talented people in the world like a commodity.”
