OMD Chi, LA, NYC: Take a Week Off, If You Please

Employees working at any of these OMD US locations, Chicago, LA or NYC, can take a week off without pay. According to an Omnicom representative, OMD has offered an optional week off for employees who are willing to take the unpaid leave &#151 a move that’s hoped to stave off layoffs.

So far it seems like people are open to the idea, says the rep. Staff have from August through December of this year to take advantage of the offer, though without pay it’s not all that lucrative. Nonetheless, staff who “take one for the team” could, you know, try to find something good to do with that week. Stay positive, OMDers.

Contrary to what some of you may believe, this offer does not extend beyond OMD across Omnicom. It is specifically set up for OMD and, we’re told, OMD only &#151 the US offices, as mentioned. Omnicom Media group is not included either.
