This one flew under our radar last week, but it looks like Minneapolis-based Phillips Distilling Company is keeping things local by selecting hometown shop mono as its new AOR for its Prairie Organic Vodka and Revel Stoke Spiced Whisky brands. Phillips had previously worked with fellow Minneapolis agency Olson on advertising for Prairie (as well as UV Vodka) and according to tipsters, maintained its relationship with said shop for nearly a decade before moving the business to mono.

Why mono anyways? In a statement, Phillips president/CEO and namesake Dean Phillips says the agency’s “groundbreaking work for Apple, Blu Dot, MSNBC and others inspired us to place two of our beloved brands in their hands, Prairie Vodka and Revel Stoke Spiced Whisky, and we are thrilled to partner with another Minnesota shop in bringing our innovative spirits to the world.”

Expect mono’s work for the pair of Phillips brands to launch at the end of the year.

Update: Olson still serves as AOR for Phillips’ UV Vodka brand, and the agency did co-create the Prairie Vodka brand in case you were wondering.
