Snoop Dogg Dives Deep for Adidas

Last week, Adidas and Portland-based shop Kamp Grizzly launched a brand new star-studded campaign called “All Originals,” which matched the brand’s Originals sneaker line with inventive and stylish celebrities from the world of entertainment.

Aside from the minute-long TV spot, Kamp Grizzly also shot a collection of 40-second vignettes that focus on the celebrity endorsers’ individual philosophies on how one becomes an icon. For Snoop Dogg, an ascent to fame consisted of murder charges, cameos on classic early-90s Dr. Dre songs and a whole lot of weed. But, two decades into the Doggfather’s career, he’s established himself as not only a hip-hop icon, but a general entertainment icon, with new generations of music fans discovering songs like “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang” and falling in love. Also featured in the above spot are Mike G and Domo for L.A. shock-rap collaborative OFWGKTA, which now marks the second time the group’s gotten a mention on AgencySpy. The celebrity-dominated minute-long spot and credits follow after the jump.

Waiting for the Bus and Need to Charge? Vitaminwater Can Help

Waiting for the damn bus can be a pain and a potential drain on your mobile device battery, but CP+B, under the creative direction of Ari Merkin, is trying to give the latter a boost as part of its “You’re Up” campaign for Vitaminwater. The parties have installed a 5-volt battery-powered USB port within a display ad in select bus shelters in NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles and Boston that lets you charge your USB-compatible mobile, gaming device or MP3 player. The above pic, which was taken at the Chicago unit, shows you everything you need to know and the tagline itself seems fitting enough, but we’re still not sure if it makes being stuck at the bus stop more worth it. Credits after the jump.

People Stand on Luggage for Choice Hotels

First off, we’d like to apologize for the janky sound on this clip. If you positively cannot watch this clip solely due to the audio lag, you can watch a better version of the spot here.

Anyways, “Anthem” marks Southfield, MI’s own Doner’s first work for Choice Hotels after being named lead creative agency for the brand last December. Aside from encouraging you to stand on your luggage (which can actually be a ton of fun if you’ve haven’t tried it and don’t travel with wine glasses in your bag), the spot also debuts the new tagline, “Your Voice. Your ChoiceHotels.com.” What’s up with that? As Doner CCO Rob Strasberg says, ““The creative executions for this campaign use the voice of the traveler to position Choice Hotels as the brand with ears.” Watching this spot really only makes me ask one question: “Does anyone know where that dinosaur theme park is?” Credits after the jump.
