Calvert, Digitas Part Ways

After spending barely eight months as worldwide head of strategic planning at Digitas, Simon Calvert‘s time at the agency has come to an end. An agency spokesperson tells us, “it is mutually agreed that Simon will leave Digitas. We wish him the very best.” Calvert, who was based in Digitas’s London office, joined the Publicis Groupe/VivaKi agency from Draftfcb, where he spent over five years and held titles including global chief planning officer and executive strategy director for the London office.

During his career, Calvert worked on the account side at the likes of Saatchi & Saatchi and McCann Erickson and once served as head of strategy at Proximity. No word yet on when his last official day is at Digitas.

Calvert Takes Top Strategic Planning Post at Digitas

After a five-and-a-half year run at Draftfcb, Simon Calvert has jumped over to Digitas to take on the role of head of worldwide strategic planning. Calvert, who will continue to be based in London, most recently served as global chief planning officer at Draft, which promoted him to said post from executive strategy director back in 2009.

During his 20-plus-year career, Calvert spent time on the account side at the likes of McCann Erickson and Euro RSGC’s London officers before moving on to the head of strategy post at Proximity, where he spent two years prior to joining Draftfcb.
