When talking Twitter strategy, “auto” is usually a four-letter word. Auto-tweeting is one of the biggest no-nos on Twitter – or is it?
Some new stats suggest that companies that auto-tweet their blog posts generate 50 percent more leads than companies that don’t.
HubSpot examined the social media habits of 3,308 B2B and B2C companies. And they found that perhaps auto-tweeting isn’t the pariah we once made it out to be.
Companies that auto-publish their blog posts to social media profiles typically see 50% more leads than those that don’t.
And here’s one for us HootSuite, Buffer or other social media publishing tool users: those businesses that schedule their social media posts using these tools generated three times as many leads as those that don’t.
HubSpot has put together some tips on making the most of this data.
For instance, they suggest optimizing the title of your blog posts for social media. Use keywords that are relevant to the topic and your brand, and don’t forget to keep it tweetable: under 120 characters so that people can tweet it with a shortened link (under 100 characters if you want them to include your company’s username – and you do!).
