As much as it pains me to say it, Canadian teenybopper Justin Bieber is a social media phenomenon.
In just four
unbearably long short years, Bieber (and his team) has intelligently used social platforms such as YouTube, Twitter and Facebook to propel an unknown, 13-year old kid into a global megastar and uber-brand, with millions and millions of fans around the world.
On Twitter, he’s second only to Lada Gaga in popularity, with his 14 million followers keeping him constantly in Twitter’s Trending Topics and amongst the network’s most-retweeted users. And he’s bigger still on Facebook and YouTube, with 37 million Likes and over two billion video views respectively.
