This has certainly been a busy month for tech companies and developers attending various conferences in and around San Francisco. Today’s conference takes the cake though.

Google is not only setting the bar in the stratosphere, it’s jumping off of that bar, spiking the ball as it lands and yelling, “Booya! top that!” At least that’s the way I see it.

If you’re on Twitter and you’re not following either #io12 or #Googleio12, you’re in the minority as the Interwebs are alive with Google buzz today:

But you may not want to tune in if you’re not there because it will likely depress you. Why? Well, attendees were just told they (and only they) can pre-order the much talked about Google Glass (for a $1,500 price tag). This only applies to U.S. attendees due to regulatory issues.

And how did Google demonstrate Google Glass? By skydiving, of course. With the skydivers connected via a Google+ hangout. It’s super clear and the video is pretty awesome. Check it out:

And ALL attendees are going home with some fantastic freebies today:

Yes, it’s true. They each get a Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 tablet and Nexus Q. Wow.

I think it’s safe to say that Google has left the other tech companies keynote presentations in the dust.

Do you wish you were there, or what?
