Want more Twitter followers?
Sure you do. Anyone who says otherwise is probably not being entirely honest with themselves (and others). Because while your follower number, in and of itself, is a bit of a hollow metric, having a very low number of followers on Twitter – certainly if you’re a brand – is a pretty clear indication that your social media strategy is not working.
Because if customers aren’t subscribing to and reading your tweets, why even use Twitter at all?
It’s a bit like any measure of success in that way – for example, music, movies and TV shows. Being wildly popular is rarely a pure measure of quality (or certainly not a guarantee), but being wildly unpopular is almost always a sure sign that something is off.
